Best NBA player of all time

Michael Jeffrey Jordan (Brooklyn, NY, United States, February 17, 1963), better known as Michael Jordan, is a former player of American basketball. Currently owns the NBA team the Charlotte Hornets.2 is considered by most fans and experts as the best basketball player of all tiempos.3 he retired in 2003 in the Washington Wizards, having done in Twice before, in 1993 and 1999, after playing 13 seasons with the Chicago Bulls. He won six rings with Chicago Bulls, averaging 30.1 points per game in his career, the highest average in the history of the league. He also won 10 titles of top scorer, 5 MVP of the season 6 Finals MVP, named to the All-NBA Team in ten occasions, defensive nine times, leader in steals during three years and rewards best defender of the season.

Since 1983, he has appeared on the cover of the prestigious sports magazine Sports Illustrated 50 times, a record, besides being named "Sportsman of the Year" in 1991. It was named "athlete of the century" by ESPN and second after Babe Ruth by the Associated Press.

Baseball career

After his retirement from basketball, Jordan stunned the sports world by signing a contract with the Chicago White Sox, a team of major league baseball, the American League. According to Jordan the reason for starting to play baseball was by an old promise made to his father, recently deceased. Jordan began training in summer and 31 March 1994 was assigned to equipo.30 The White Sox was another team owner Jerry Reinsdorf, owner of the Bulls, who continued to honor the contract baloncestístico Jordan in his years dedicated to béisbol.31 was part of the Chicago White Sox for the space of 17 games in the majors before being lowered to the minor leagues (Birmingham Barons). In 2006, Jordan bought a share of the Charlotte Bobcats and joined the team's executive ranks as its managing member of basketball operations. He experienced some personal changes that same year, ending his 17-year marriage to wife Juanita Vanoy. The couple divorced in December 2006. They had three children together during the course of their marriage: Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine.
