Slam

The slam dunk contest is a competition in which participants attempt to show the public their best mates. It was inaugurated by the ABA in its All-Star Game (All-Star Game), 1976 in Denver, just as the mates were allowed in the NCAA. This allowed players to show their skills pounding the basket to try to beat their rivals. Anyway, this contest was short because the ABA merged with the NBA next year. NBA created its own competition given the popularity of mates. In English, it is known as Slam Dunk
