Allen
Ray Allen (Merced, California, July 20, 1975) is an American professional basketball player who is currently a free agent but has had offers from some teams. He previously played in Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle SuperSonics, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. He trained at the University of Connecticut. It is one of the leading triple jumper in the history of the NBA is currently the record holder for most three pointers in history with 2,973, surpassing Reggie Miller on February 10, 2011 in a match against the Los Angeles Lakers played in the TD Garden in Boston. It was nine-time All-Star and won Olympic gold with the United States in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000. Allen has acted in two films, the most popular in the film He Got Game (known as the sacred play in Latin America and Poor played in Spain), Spike Lee.
In his rookie season he enjoyed the role expected. He started 81 of 82 games played with an average of 13.4 points, 39.3% in triples, 4 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Allen competed in the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest From Paul Pressey in 1986, the Bucks were not represented. He also participated in the party Rookies of All-Star Weekend, scoring 8 points. He was named the 2nd best quintet of rookies of that season.
Seattle Supersonics
The 2002-03 season marks the latest Allen with the Bucks. Wisconsin franchise pierced him with Kevin Ollie, Ronald Murray and conditional 1st round pick in 2003 to Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. After the change, the game of Allen even increased level, being named to the 2nd All-NBA Team in 2005. For the first time after three consecutive years, the All-Star was lost.
He was appointed as NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2003. He was named Player of the Week in the Western Conference after averaging 28.3 points, 7.5 assists and 6 rebounds in a week where the Sonics reached a balance of 4-0. His debut in Seattle resulted in 26 point, 13 rebounds and 9 assists, scraping the triple double in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. No legend Sonics had such a resounding debut. Your Seattle averages were 24.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists, in addition to 92% in free throws. This campaign reached 1,000 triples.
Both last season and in 2003-04, Seattle did not qualify for the playoffs. Allen returned to the All-Star and follow consecutively going until 2009. He averaged 23 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
In the 2004-05 season he enjoyed his only season with the Sonics Playoffs. The team reached the conference semifinals, where they fell San Antonio Spurs. His playoff numbers were 26.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists. In August 2005 it was renewed for Seattle with a five years at a rate of 85 million.2
The 2005-06 season and 2006-07 season were the highlights of Allen in his career when it refers to points per game, with 25.1 and 26.4 points respectively. The January 13, 2006, was suspended by the NBA for three games for fighting with Keyon Dooling.
The March 12, 2006, Allen became the 97th player in NBA history scoring 15,000 points.
On April 7, 2006, Allen managed to be placed in second place in the list of most three-pointers of all time after a game against Portland Trail Blazers, only behind legendary Reggie Miller.
The April 19, 2006, against Denver Nuggets, Allen broke the record of Dennis Scott scored more triples in a season with 268. At the end of the meeting, he received a standing ovation from his audience.
In 2006-07 he signed his best game in scoring after scoring 54 against Utah Jazz, the second highest mark in the history of the Sonics, behind 58 points from Fred Brown in 1974.
Boston Celtics
The June 28, 2007 Seattle SuperSonics handed to Ray Allen and Glen Davis rights to Boston Celtics in exchange for Delonte West, Wally Szczerbiak and the rights of Jeff Green.
Boston won its first championship ring. In a team full of stars and accompanied by Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, he was a key to the Celtics return to the elite after 22 years society. Allen averaged 17.4 regular-season points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Despite expressing misguided in the early stages of Playoffs, their participation was decisive in the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, with great performances in the 4th and, especially in the 6th game where equaled the record of triples in the final 7, to score 26 points. Also get the record triple scored in a NBA Finals record with 22 and in the fourth and final game of the Finals with 7 triples in the Celtics win the Lakers by 131-92. His averages in the Final were 20.3 points and 5 rebounds per game, and a percentage of 50.7% from the field by signing the record of triples in a series of NBA Finals with 22 surpassing the previous record (17) Derek Harper and Dan Majerle
Miami Heat
In the sixth game of the NBA Finals dela 2013, Allen hit a triple to tie the score with 5.2 left in the fourth period.8 Having overturned a 10-point deficit late in the third period, the Heat won 103-100 extra time over the San Antonio Spurs and forced a seventh game in the series, leading the Heat 101-100, Allen stole the ball from Manu Ginobili under the Spurs basket and was fouled 1.9 seconds remaining in overtime. Allen hit two free throws that put Miami up 103-100, Allen played 41 minutes in Game 6 of the bench and scored 9 points with August 3 shooting. Triple the draw was the only triple that scored three-pointers, Allen also had a defensive rebound and two assists. In the seventh game, the Heat won 95-88 to win their second consecutive championship, Allen played 20 minutes off the bench. Although not scored any 4 shots and had three turnovers, Allen recorded four defensive rebounds and 4 assists. It then became the seventh player with the most matches (11) topping a record that was held by Bill Russell.
Record triple
The February 10, 2011 exceeds the record for most triples Reggie Miller made in NBA history to convert 2-pointers in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers thus reaching the sum of 2,561 triples.
