Business Outlook Survey carried out by the Chambers of Commerce in Europe each year, showed that Spanish companies "are more optimistic than those of the whole of Europe with regard to future developments."
While the behavior of the variables analyzed during 2015 was positive, European companies have better prospects for the year ahead in the coming weeks, particularly as related to domestic sales and exports.
According to the survey, "Spain is among the countries with the most optimistic expectations of the EU, after recording the best results in 2015". It also stresses that the outlook for Spanish companies for 2016 are also favorable employment expectations.
However, investment balance recorded a lower expectations for the next year in relation to the results achieved in 2015. The Spanish companies, the report said, confident that productive activity keeps dynamism.
For Chambers of Commerce, the development contrasts with forecasts of major institutions, estimate growth for Spain in 2016 less than 2015.
"The strength of consumption is likely to generate further growth in imports, so that, despite the progress that companies expect their sales abroad, the contribution to growth from external demand could drain a few tenths of growth whole year, "the report said.
In addition, companies expect the strengthening of the activity is transferred to the labor market.
During 2015, exports had a positive performance, as most companies therefore European companies expect the evolution of sales abroad in 2016 is even better.
Spanish companies, in that sense, are the most optimistic second, behind the Portuguese returning to lead the ranking for the second consecutive year.
