Mipyme Internacional


Colombian authorities are launching a new edition of International Mipyme to strengthen a total of 500 Colombian companies having their area of ​​foreign trade, said ProColombia.
The program achieved a major success in its first edition in 2015, seeks to promote energy non-mining exports and increase the diversification of markets and products for domestic entrepreneurs.
"MSMEs who want to participate in the edition 2016 may have exported one or more times or have never done," said the president of ProColombia, Maria Claudia Lacouture, while noting that "the goal is to want to grow creating your area foreign trade, which have the potential, financial resources and a clear intention to export product. "
According Lacouture, the goal for 2016 is to reach 20 thousand 995 million dollars in exports of goods and services other than hydrocarbons and minerals. For which the strategy "includes the use of trade, production chains to generate an offer with higher added value agreements."
The Colombian government hopes to "generate more export culture to strengthen the business with continued international sales." So Mipyme International includes more than 2016 companies and sectors, such as underwear, swimwear, footwear, leather goods, specialty coffee, snacks, fruits, vegetables and processed vegetables, chocolate and confectionery, home and hospital cleaning, among others.
In its first version, launched in March last year, the program achieved that for every thousand dollars a mipyme reach a return on invested $ 138,700 in sales abroad, of which 28.1% were exports remaining purchase orders and 72% 2016 2015.

The second version of the program will allow companies that have already exported at some time, operate in a physical or virtual. For which a consultant will visit personally 200 companies in Cali, Bogota, Medellin, Bucaramanga and Cucuta.
The advisory ProColombia extend for eight months, forward the official. In addition, the consultant will train virtually 48 companies in the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, the 252 companies that have never exported obtain support and information in person counseling and time will be extended up to 18 months as needed.
